Called to Humility

Rev. Phoebe shares that Christian identity is marked by humble, unconditional love, as commanded by Jesus in the washing his disciples’ feet — even Judas’. Just as Jesus loved and served even the most "unclean" and undeserving, we too are called to love and serve others — including those who disgust us and the parts of ourselves we struggle to accept. Through surrendering our shame and disgust to Christ, we can find healing, unity, and Christian witness in the world.
