Hell is God's Dump

Father Justin concludes his Advent exploration of the four last things with this final sermon on "Hell." Jesus compares Hell to a valley outside Jerusalem called Gehenna, which was basically the town transfer station or dump. Hell is what God does with the garbage of creation, the mysterious evil that has snuck into this world, but it's not at all clear there are any people in Hell at all. In fact, Father Justin thinks, we have reason to hope there won't be.
