St. Barnabas is an active, growing community that provides nurture, support, & guidance to enable all its members to deepen their faith and to carry out Christ's work in the world.
Our worship on Sunday mornings is grounded in the liturgies of the 1979 Book of Common Prayer using both Rite I and Rite II Holy Eucharist. In all of the services of worship the prayer book content provides a balanced expression of praise, penitence, petition, intercession, and especially thanksgiving—all informed by Holy Scripture as Biblical selections from the Revised Common Lectionary follow the seasons of the Church Year.
During the ebb and flow of our ongoing liturgical life, we also use the Book of Common Prayer to guide us in Holy Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, Burial and other sacraments of the church. While most of our worship services take place inside our beautiful church, we also go outside of the space to worship right in the midst of God’s creation that is all around us on our hilltop campus. These opportunities allow us the draw on special prayer book liturgies and other worship resources.
