Church School for Children
2nd and 4th Sundays, September to June, 10:00 a.m.
St. Barnabas thinks of children as its greatest treasure and takes seriously the words of Jesus that “to enter the Kingdom of Heaven” we must all be like children. Church School and worship represent the core of the program for children, youth and their families at St. Barnabas.
The main goal of the Children's Ministry program at Saint Barnabas is to bring children to Christ through teachings and discussions in Sunday School, and movies that all help to drive home the lessons of the season in differing and unique ways. Through these venues, Christ is made known in the telling of God's story in scripture and the sharing of the life of Christ in us through our witness to the world.

1st and 3rd Sundays, September to June, 10:00 a.m.
Children’s Church is an exciting addition to the Children’s education and ministry program. Twice a month our children participate in their very own Chapel service (often joined by their parents). Generally, on the first and third Sunday of the month, our children leave the classroom setting for a fun and age-appropriate time of worship in the parish hall. During this specialized chapel time our children learn the Children’s Creed, Bible stories, gain tools on how to pray, celebrate birthdays as well as learn how to say I’m sorry through a confession written for children.
At the end the Children’s Chapel we gather together in what reminds me more of a gaggle then a stately church procession and move to the sanctuary in time to participate in Holy Communion with their families and other parishioners.
