Education

St. Barnabas is an active, growing community that provides nurture, support, & guidance to enable all its members to deepen their faith and to carry out Christ's work in the world.
Although we may know and enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in a variety of ways, most people recognize our Lord and Savior as the paramount teacher.  We seek to engage in lifelong learning through a range of education activities that are rooted in Holy Scripture.  Whether it is in one of the small group ministries, Sunday afternoon forums, or visitors from outside our church community, we are eager to engage as a body of believers amongst ourselves and with others in order to go into the world to spread God’s kingdom.

In addition to Holy Scripture, there are many remarkable texts and resources through which people may examine their Christian faith.  For example, the Vestry had a summer reading assignment; a short story by Leo Tolstoy called "Where Love Is, God Is."  They asked to share it with the wider parish.  Here is a link to the story;
